Alright, I've been playing Freelancer with the Discovery mod, all settings activated and on highest, the ENBeffect mod is on as well.
The screen flickers rapidly for just a moment in Nebulas. Nothing game-hampering, but still a downer since I never had this problem before. I timed the occurance and it's vageuly familiar to the "lightning clashes" as I call them in certain Nebulas. Like in Corinth's mine field, only instead of a cool flash mixed with the nebula itself, its a nasty screen flicker pasted over the Nebula.
No idea what caused it, game runs at around 250-300 FPS on my rig. I've tried disabling ENB mod and little tweaks with my Nvidia card's settings. Nothing's worked so far.
Don't forget that the ENB mod can't really be disabled in game - you have to do that initially when you're starting the mod initially. So you may have to deactivate and then reactivate the mod.
Other than that - honestly, you're playing the game on a rig that the game designers probably never dreamed would be in existance when they designed the game, so it may just not work right. Vista Ultimate 64 is a bit odd, anyway.

I had same problem but its gone ... not sure how ... check your graphic card driver setup i have it on max quality now ... i think it was max performance before while i had that problem ... not sure
I tried little tweaks to Nvidia's specific settings and finally screwing all my settings, I saved the profile that I use for other multiplayer games, cause well anyone who's played competitively on FPS's knows every frame/second counts. I just set the damn card to "let the app decide" and I think it's normal.
Score one for the game winning. I'd rather have it look good that run at 300 FPS.
My honest reaction upon reading the forums, whenever I rarely do. Joe Kucan, he's the man.
I understand the flashing, but the best I could describe it was like the flashes built into the "cloud" effect that looked neat and well placed were transformed into an ugly, screen-hording shutter-flicker effect, much like old hand crank film.
Its fixed now, can't complain, just glad it's fixed. @_@

Its not normal fleshing like there it is ... its more like rips and waves or something. I am glad you fixed it. I used max performance too for frame/sec power but i run cod4 125 fps lock with this setup and fl works fine so i am not changing it soon
