I have just installed and activated the Discovery mod. When I entered Multiplayer Internet to find the server I was looking for, nothing appeared, although the connection message said connecting. It never did. I uninstalled FL and FLMM and retried, but that didn't help. Any ideas?

Yes, the global server might be down or your firewall/router might be blocking Freelancer.

For the Global server down, try connecting through xfire (www.xfire.com) or modify your Freelancer shortcut to contain the two oficial servers:

The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor

I decided to run the Restore Backup and now I can see and access servers on the GSL. I'll keep your advice in mind. Thanks.
