Is this only with FL, or no sound at all?

check the hardware manager to see if the device is having errors. (control panel ->system -> hardware -> device manager [so long gah])

also check that the windows audio service is running (win + r) then type "services.msc" (w/o quotes) and scroll down to windows audio, make sure it is running and set to automatic.
