Altair Research Complex

So, I have been wondering recently what Altair now does. I know all of the history, that it was a secret Liberty base built in Omicron Iota to study Alien Technology for Military purposes. I checked in the Nomad Lore and all it really says is that all records of it were suddenly deleted and it became a myth. There is also a part that says the Nomads lived in it a while whilst they built Dur-Shurrikun.

But what is happening with the Complex now?

I heard that a group of humans infested with Nomads now control the station, but is this true? What do they do, possibly research the human race in a hope of finding some flaw they could use to their advantage? The fact that infested humans are controlling the station makes the most sense, as surely some of the Wilde or Aoi Iseijin could of made it there. Or it is the previous human staff (more likely).

So I'm wondering if this is actually correct, or is there something else going on? *activates "Dun dun duuuuuh!" sound effect*

Edit: I apologise if this has been brought up before, I did search but I only skimmed through the results.

And I am sorry if this is actually in the Nomad Lore. I only have the Public Release Beta, haven't had time to download the final version yet.
