Its still working, as you can see majkp posted about a received donation just 2 days ago.

Donating is optional and appreciated by everybody (afterall, it is not HIS server, it is OUR as in the community's server), but things take time, especially since the involved people are doing this in their spare time. They all have family, work, and other stuff in their lives that needs attending too as well.

I am pretty sure they are working towards a resolution and getting the server back up PDQ, we just need to have a bit more patience.

Maybe we ought to get a new commodity introduced in 4.86 :
Patience Pills, sold at all pharmacies in Sirius.
When mounted on the ship, the character gets a boost in coolness factor, which gives them an edge against NPC's.
