I left Discovery for a couple of weeks only, and hell breaks loose here... I mean, yes, there might be problems with certain members, and there are cases in which we have to ban people, but why all those flame wars and "I'm leaving" posts?
I'm making this post just to try to explain what happened. SirRed was temporary banned from RP forums with a possibility to return, if there will be no rule violations on PvP forums. Unfortunately, that was not the case, and he's banned from both servers forever.
Next, Super... you all know better than me what happened, for I didn't play lately and rarely visited the forums. But the recent events has shown us that tolerance no longer works. There was no choice but ban. From server (by Korrd) and from forums (by me).
Unfortunately, I'll have to repeat that. Tolerance no longer works. Wobbly, SirRed and Supernova proved it well enough. The more 2nd chances we give, the more 2nd chances they abuse. It's clear enough that any serious rule violation should lead to severe consequences, not just formal 20-mil fine, and if the offense is repetative a ban should follow without any delays or warnings. Our admins are free to choose sanctions; Korrd, Nightfall, and Bulldognk, that's for your information.
That's for player's information also... if you don't want to get banned, play by the rules. There's the PvP server if RP gameplay doesn't apply to you much.
I hope that everyone who left will return, sooner or later. If any compensations will be needed, they will be provided.
