I have a character which had green Junker Guard Rep before the server went under during the DDOS attack. Upon reconnecting, however, the rep seemed to have reduced to 2 bars in the positive neutral. Although this is sort of a minor problem, it should be brought to the attention of the community that this may be happening.

Also, I managed to complete a mission a half hour ago (guard-repping), when the server went down again. After logging back on, I saw that my guard rep had again reset to 2 bars positive neutral, which leads me to believe that the server may be having problems retaining information between crashes.
Just so you all know...

What ID do you have? Doesn't sound exactly like repninja, but it might be... also, did your money, killcounts, game time, etc reset as well or was it just your reputation?

It was just the reputation of that one faction. I have Junker Rep and IFF and I was repping Junkers Guard.

As far as I know Backups are done in the morning during the scheduled reboot at 8:00 AM SMT.
The attack that took majkp's host down was done in the evening, so there might be discrepancy there.

The reason why the player DB from the old server hasn't been restored on to the new server, is probably because the old server isn't connected at the moment, so Cannon probably have taken the most recent backup that is stored offsite, and restored that.

So if your guard repping was done during the last day the old server was up, that might be the reason.

Indeed. Our mining group experienced loss of cash and reputation caused by the attack. It just happened.

It would be nice for our techsperts to look into it *wink wink, nudge nudge*
