Simply put, have a registry on the forums. You post a characther per account, it gets set as a 'forum user' or some such.

That way those that have been active enough dont need to worry about the wipe.

Prehaps, to further make it result in less cloging, restrict it to people with forum accounts older than a set period of time.

There's no integration between the forums and the main server.

Entirely up to each individual to look after his/her accounts by logging them in, or getting someone else
to do it for them. There is no other way I'm afraid. Sharing accounts is also entirely your domain in these matters.

Or just take the 5 seconds it takes to log into your character and log out.

Ninja'd by a Hoodlum. I was snuck up upon robbed and then assassinated. Ouch.
