While doing patrols today, we received word that a diplomatic vessel, the Aerus, was under attack in Rhieland Space. They were on the run, attempting to outrun the unknown hostility against them.
They had contacted Viper, one of our Battleship commanders. Upon granting the Aerus permission to enter Liberty space, we were dispatched to the Texas system in an attempt to intervene. The Evolution, Viper's ship, had entered Rhieland space in an attempt to ward off the Pirates, and was only partially successful in slowing the pirates down. upon entering Texas, the Aerus formed up along side the Adjudicator.
We attempted to lay down covering fire for the Aerus, but the pirates were much too quick and were able to evade fire. We warned the pirate, on more than one occassion, to evacuate Liberty space, or be fired upon. once they left the area via trade lane, we proceeded to assess the status of the Aerus.
I must say that this pirate is a good fighter pilot, but much too egomanical. One much proceed with caution when confronting this individual.

Aye, definately a bit of an ego trip going on with that particular pilot. I recieved a distress call from the task force hunting down the pirate, and joined the hunt into Liberty space. Twice I was engaged with the pirate, and twice he was defeated by us all.
Shortly after, the pirate force followed me back to Rheinland space, and proceeded to continue their terrorist activity above the planet Hamburg. Heavy losses were sustained on all sides...
