You guys remember 4.84, in that primitive time before Cannon came along?
Ya know, before the invention of fire? Or when we still got "New Player:" messages for everyone?
"New Player: Wilde.Vorzeichen"
"New Player: Wilde.Abschnitt"
caused every trader our side of Liberty to log off.
"New Player: [Phantoms]Whatever"
caused everyone to check where they logged on to and form a gank squad.
"New Player: LR-Insert.Witty.One.Liner"
caused the LN to go on patrol.
"New Player: Keepers.Sumerian.God"
caused lots of people to switch to the Osirises.
We dealt with it then. We dealt with a lot worse. We dealt with the silent powertraders who F1'd then came back on their cattlebruisers. We didn't have the "attention: cloaking device" yet, or the rule that says you have to RP before shooting people, or the rules where you can't take BHG caps into house space and shoot everything that moves.
And we still had a blast.
Maybe some people will use it as a step backward. But we've been there before, and it wasn't so bad. Hell, I actually -miss- the BHG BCs chasing me around. It was great practice.
If you really feel it would be so bad, just let it be specific names, not factions. For Das Wilde, the Phantoms, and the Keepers, you'd have to do that anyway.
