How do these things get proposed?
Balancing is already enough of a nightmare as it is, as you can see from X people saying something is overpowered or whatever.

People can't even agree on the nature of the overpoweredness of certain factions, while others claim them not to be overpowered at all.

So what makes you think this feature could be implemented in a balanced manner?

Mining already covers more of this than I thought was possible with the engine. Ship stats are, to the best of my knowledge, unable to be changed on the fly, much less on a player-by-player basis.

Making faction weaponry go well with their ships is one thing- heavy beating weapons for factions with bulky ships, for instance- but I think that's about as far as it's even possible to go. I support making faction equipment work well with equipment of the same faction- but artificial synergy, no, I can't say that'd be a good idea even if it were possible.

I do like trading bonuses, might get people trade more in RP

Or... the most probable scenario with this mod is, pirates would up their demands... yet again.

On a serious note, I do like the idea of trading bonuses, though, but that situation would happen, and you all know it, I mean look what happened to mining.

They'd take one look at oh I don't know, an ageira transport with tradelane parts on and go "10millordai!!!!11"
But no, everyone on this mod wants to curb trading or mining but nothings ever said about pirating, seriously look at all the "I've paid for 3 cap VIII's and 2 battleships thorough killing miners" posts that have been made lately.

The worst thing you could of done is give pirates an uber transport, but nooooooo you had to go and do it.
