War

Through time immortal mankind has been at war.
Millions of men, women and children have lost their lives to serve a greater cause.
If there is but one thing that has been constant throughout these wars it is the grief of loved ones when their son, their father or even their entire family does not return from the great theatre of war.

Why must those that stay behind be the ones who suffer the most?
Why must humanity endure this unnecessary hardship?
Fruitful lives are cut short, mothers are left without sons and children are left without parents.

Does this mean that war is bad, that it should be stopped no matter what?

We at Sirius Robotics believe the answer to that is this: No.
Humanity has risen to greatness through the fires of war.
From simple arguments with your neighbour to all out total war between conquering empires of old, humanity has some form of war in every part of life.
To deny war would be to deny part of humanity, to cut us off from a crucial part of ourselves.

You may wonder why we say such a thing after just pointing out the hardship and grief that millions have suffered from due to war.
The answer to that is simple too.
The cause of such dismay was not the war but the death of the heroes that were their loved ones.

What if we could remove those lives from the war?
What if we could spare a wife the despair of losing her new husband?

We at Sirius Robotics can do such a thing.

What is Sirius Robotics?

Sirius Robotics is a designer and manufacturer of state of the art security and military robotics.

Simply put, we save the life of a soldier by putting a robot in his place. Such units can be programmed to work independently or can be directly controlled by said soldiers, sitting safely away from the carnage of the battlefield.

The wars will continue, the ambitions of nations and mankind will still be fulfilled.

Yet there will be no more lost loved ones, no more grief of those who are without those they cherished.

War without death.

Is it possible?
We think so.

While we know that such a thing is possibly far in the future, there needs to be someone to take the first steps along that long road.

History

Sirius Robotics is a small but growing robotics corporation started in 372 A.S.
A humble family business at first, the founding father Adam Johnston started it to help pay the family bills. Finding he had a talent for the work, the tiny business grew.
From generation to generation the business has passed on, the quality increasing as past experience is passed on.
Around the year 562 A.S. the business name was changed to Sirius Robotics, to reflect the grand ambitions that the then generation had.
Such ambitions were never realised, till perhaps now.

Sirius Robotics, in it's present state, operates out of several factories based in Liberty and Bretonia. A small organisation, it has little influence in space and no space bound assets.
As such it remains a relatively unknown corporation to much of Sirius, much like the myriad of other corporations throughout Sirius.

Why should I be bothered about just another average corporation?

The Robotics market in Sirius has typically been dominated by the corporate giant Kishiro and Deep Space Engineering.
Sirius Robotics, whilst a producer of excellent quality robotics, has never been able to compete with the sheer clout behind such a large corporation.

However the Independent Miners Guild has recently invested heavily in SR.
The objective of this is twofold. Both to strengthen ties between the Guild and the corporation but also to bring Sirius Robotics into space.
The jump from planet based industry to space bound industry is a large one, typically out of reach of most corporations.
With the IMG investment though, Sirius Robotics is making that jump.

Starting soon, Sirius Robotics will be opening a manufacturing plant on Aland Shipyard in the Omega-3 system.

This is a massive step for Sirius Robotics and one that we intend to make the most out of.

As such, we are bringing out another unit to compliment the rest of our line.

The I-2

Produced solely on Aland, it should be a perfect compliment to our already extensive range of units.

What does the Future hold?

We hope to move a large portion of our manufacturing to Aland and other stations in time.

A bright future awaits Sirius Robotics, one no doubt filled with challenge but also promise.

The question is if you will be part of that promise or the challenge?

Facilitating the rise of robotics since 0 A.D.
