Key NPC Characters

i've been daydreaming about characters for Discovery and some i've come up with wouldn't really fit as a character i could actually play...

BUT

i thought what if there were actual characters built into discovery?

it would add things like more indepth RP, giving us someone to RP around that would make for some nice stories. it would possibly get people more involved in RP on the server itself. "i'm going to see (name) about a job, i heard they know a lot about (subject)"

stories could be added into the news about said characters to let people learn more about them and to tell stories about their activities

i don't know if it's possible to make actual NPC characters as ships, i know i've seen the same battleships flying around over time. for example: how about an infamous bounty hunter running around, or a pirate ace. the NPC ship would be stronger than normal NPC's and killing them would drop something like a piece of their ship which you could carry around as a trophy for bragging rights..

but they don't have to be in ships, they could be a hogosha boss, or a junker mad scientist who built an army of robots from scrap. these would just be their to base stories on or around.

the list of possibilities could go on and on....if it's possible

Ah ... Tracy Lacy, no 'e' in the surname. Jay Simon would have run off with her if he wasn't so taken with

I found her up in Omicron Alpha flying a Bounty Hunter Hammerhead, sold her ass to the Outcasts. Lo and
behold, 2 days later, bumped into her again in Hudson flying against the Xenos, she must have escaped ...
Anyway loved the name so much I gave her a life as a Bounty Hunter pilot and part time porn star. Name
like that, what else could she be ...
She has now moved on to presenting the news as well, the past behind her ... And Suzette hates her.

is it possible to make certain NPC's more notorious though?

take tracy lacy for example: what if she were to spawn in a fighter wing but say she was as tough as a guard NPC. even write some rumors or news about her.

what if Trent showed up as one of those (nearly) indestructible freelancer Eagles?

is that possible?

i like the idea of NPC chars, that would really add more RP to game, and also more fun :D

Yeah. I love the idea too, I think it could be possible, but they would have to spawn very rarely so you don't see 5 Tracy Lacys and 2 Edison Trents flying around in the same place.
