Every once in a while, I come across somebody writing that their computer had died. So hey, how did your computer die, how many times, what have you lost, and what would you have done, had you known that it will happen?
In my entire life only one of my computers died, the reason was a leaking water cooling. And yeah, the rest is pretty much logical, water killed all the hardware and there wasn't anything I could do about it. It was sad...really. The PC cost me around 2000 Euros. Made me sad face:(
I lost a PC some months ago. Only lost some video and about 6 gigs of music I can't be bothered to steal again. It was a simple HD failure, so I bought a new hard drive and rebuilt it to give to my nephew and bought a new system.
Never had a PC die, my old Windows 95 still ran perfectly fine when I upgraded five or so years ago. I think it got thrown out, but it would probably still work today. My laptop was on track to dying, but I swapped computers before it ever got that far.
