Scientists meeting onboard Lisbon station, Omicron-100. Everyone knowed it is something different, security standards highest as possible. Captain Golanski entered room, last scientists took place and they were able to start.
"fellow science community of Order, we are here to discuss new special project directly from high command. It is signed top secret. I am Michal Golanski, Order fleet officer in rank of captain and I am placed in coordinating your works. The project I am talking about carries name Luxor, it consist 4 main parts: Engines, storage bays, hull platings and reactor cores. Everything needs to be extreme, starting with engines it needs be suitable to move huge objects like whole bases, super-big asteroids and so on, in that we plan usage of nomad power cells. Any comments on it?"
Golanski looked on scientist team. One of them decided to took voice.
"If high command requested 'extreme' efficiency, we need the most powerful power cells. Like Omicron-92 one I personaly taken care of. We may need more of them so I recommend to attempt locate more of them, or even higher powered ones."
Golanski thinked a bit and answered:
"About it, our agents recently hitted one smuggler and aquired few interesting active artifacts. Those awaits at lock bay S-9 at Toledo."
scientist added: "Hmm, worth a check. Most of artifacts we aquired last time showed no interesting properties. What about other parts of project?"
Golanski turned a page on his acts and started reading:
"Engines... able to propel massive transports, battleships, stations, asteroids and so on. We need efficient engines. We have also matter of armor plating and storage bays. Last thing is matter of proper matterials and proper planning. Bays shouldn't make ship or station more fragile, and armor show maximum protection available. Anything to add?"
Other scientists started talk:
"Sure, including newest technologies and following 'bigger and better' ideology we could able to do that. About hull and armor, possible Iridium could help. Ore is rather limited, but Zoners may deliver us some. Other possibility are mining operations in Omicron Delta and Kansas on our own."
Scientists started to discuss the plan within themselves. Around a hour passed and decided to launch preparations. Golanski at the end noticed:
"Allright ladies and gentlemens, you know what we are going to do. Do not be suprised if even admirals will check your works personaly. Dismiss, next meeting will be called when we will have something more to discuss. Good luck."
Scientists are getting into their shuttles, Golanski is returning to his normal duties.
Benjamin Jones stood outside the testing chamber, doing last minute checks. A few more scientists were at work inside and outside the gargantuan chamber that currently was empty. Except for two things-
A small piece of metal, around 3'x3', suspended in the air using levitators and suspenders....and across the room, a massive gun, also suspended. A closer look would determine that it was not some fancy gun, it was an ordinary gun taken right off a fighter....in short, the Mini Razor utilized on fighters..
Benjamin gave the thumbs up regarding power levels, and was returned in kind by everyone. All was ready. He moved across the room to the large console which governed everything in the room. Once everyone had got out, he got to work. A quick press of the buttons and the chamber was sealed.
Another keypress and power began to be re-routed to the Cannon, the lights in the room grew perceptibly dim......Before long, a chime announced that the gun was charged and ready.
He looked at a female scientist working on another of the consoles, she looked up, and said "Yes, all is perfectly aligned. On your mark Ben."
He nodded, and typed in the 15 digit password that was to allow him, and no other, rights to all functions. He brought up what he needed, and pressed the button.
Everything went white. There was a searing explosion, and for a while, nobody could see anything. Slowly, the blazing aura dimmed, and they could see the results.
The small piece of metal was still mostly intact, having taken little damage from a head on Razor attack....
A cheer went around the room, high fives were thrown. It seemed like they had found the right combination which they needed....
Captain Golanski and team of armed marines brought a suspicious box to the lab. Golanski unlocked it, getting out a artifact in small anti-radiation shell and placed it on the table. Two scientists entered the room as well.
"We need to identify that artifact. We know it got enormous for artifacts radiation, safe for human beings but it was recommended to transport it in anti-radiation shell. We know after proper hit from very low powered bolt of energy it is generating a map, just like a 'key' we used in nomad war. Primary objective is to determine source of radiation, possible energy sources or batteries within artifact and mark possible location of place showed on the map. Here you got basic data we received..."
Golanski given a report to scientists, those agreed and started the work. Golanski went to OSD main department. Secrety gived him a progress report from facilities. His eyes stucked on line mentioning breakthough in armor.
"Good work guys, you earned for a solid keg of beer"
Dave was in his personal laboratory in the Legion. It was seriosly funded by Cerberus to have the best research equipment for different tasks. He then opened the ExtraNet which was connected with the interface from Lisbon Station. The connection established quickly.
Greetings friends. As you requested, I looked into this project at the Engine development. I made some research, and considered that for a big "mobile station" like Thebes, it would require enormous amounts of energy to make it move. Since this is rather a station then a capital ship, I developed some Anti-Matter engine prototypes which have some unique propreties. For the engines, it would require almost 2 Anti-Matter Fusion reactors which will pump the energy enough to make the big mammoth move, and also to make Trans-Warp Jumps. Because of its enormous amount of AM, and AM's capacity to make space-time continuum rifts, the engine is capable of creating a similar effect to the Warp bubble, but it rifts the normal space into the sub-dimensional pathway into space so its like a massive shortcut. The HyperWarp... as I call it can be made once when the reactors are fully charged with AM, and the cooldown of engines its very big. So this will be used only in emergency and special cases. Also the engines are not unstable if they are using AM. The AM from the reactor is channeled through specialized tunnels which creates a strong phased ionization for the AM and gives its impulse speed sufficient enough to move the mighty station. After the jump occurs almost the entire AM from the reactors will be depleted but it will be always refueling itself by collapsing small accelerated particles from the Particle Projector lens. Also the reactor is seen with a failure prevent system which will stop the entire engine power if something bad happens with the AM storage.
I will give you my part of contribution, you guys the materials, and it will be done. I would suggest ... some heavy modified Osiris engines connected in 3 should make only half of one Thebes engine. The Thebes should be consisted of 3 AM Engines.
