I am the Discovery Kansas 4.84 server's Owner and main Administrator. I am know as Paladin. I invite anyone wishing to have a more laid back time to come and check us out. We also have a few extra Server Rules that can be found on our Kansas Forum website at: http://www.kansasgaming.net
Our service provider is Embarq so we have the highest speed available in our area which has a download speed of 6 megs a second. the moden we had died a while back and Embarq sent a newer one which has given us fits because the modem resets about once a month and changes our IP. Therefore, we have created a program called the Server Leech which once downloaded keeps a current check on things and allows you to get to our server no matter how many times the IP changes. You can also use this URL: http://www.kansasgaming.net/Games/Game-Too...er-Leech/ip.php this gives you the correct IP of our server if you don't wish to download the Server Leech program.
The Server Leech program can be found at the top of the first screen under downloads when getting to our Forum.
The IP we are using as of 3/09/08 is : 76.7.239.174:2302

Right Click on the Freelancer shortcut on your desktop. Left Click on Properties at the bottom of the list. Go to the Shortcuts tab. Go to "Target:" (that lists the location of your Freelancer game) and add a space followed by "-s" and the IP address that you want to use. For example, the last IP address I listed for Kansas would be listed as "-s76.7.224.41:2302" and that can be followed by additional IP addresses with one space between each and the "-s" right before the IP address. This will let you connect directly, but you still have to make sure that you're using the correct mod version.
As for the member of RoS who saw a "bug fleet" -- that's what you get when you overdose on cardamine after watching "Starship Troopers" (that must have been one of the movies in the archives shipped on the Hispania sleeper ship).:crazy:

You can go to your Freelancer directory on your computer and if it is located on your C: drive got here: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE
Once in the exe directory go to the fldirectip file open it and type in the above IP.
