We systematically have gone through a huge list of applicants, got it down to a short list, and have just started interviews.

We had a lot of really good applications. It is going to be hard to pick.

Pick them all?

Just a suggestion, as

A) manpower is a good thing
B) good people + slightly better people > slightly better people
C) there will always be a few who fizzle out after the first month or two, as in any new job/faction, and you will keep the ones who have a passion for the work.
