There have been many a tale of old gangsters and criminals, legends of infamy and deceit, bloodshed and tears, and the cold hard drive for cash that drives a soul desperate for its wealth. And one such duo of partners, stood out from the others with a tale of love and determination to get what they wanted, no matter the cost.
Bonnie and Clyde were a inseparable team, devoted to each other through the worst of it all. However, the quirky pairs story starts a long time before robbery and murder became a common occurrence in their day to day lives.
The pair first met as young teenagers aboard the Junkers station Beaumont in the Northern Dallas Debris field, a familiar site to the both of them as their parents trawled the scrap fields, making their honest buck. The two became very close, and seemed to have an uncanny ability to work in unison, and understanding how each other ticked, which proved invaluable in their dubious future to come. Clyde was a little older then Bonnie, but their age gap never bothered them, they were very much inseparable regardless of the 7 year gap.
One fateful evening, the two stayed aboard Yanagi to celebrate Bonnies 19th birthday, getting high and sculling back the Gallic wine Clyde has grown so fond of. They partied well on into down-time, finally drinking themselves into the ensuing alcoholic coma the Gallic wine is renown for in large quantities.
When they finally came too, Yanagi was in a high state of alert as a wing of rogue Kempetei swept through the vicinity close to the station, hitting any Junkers vessels in sight. Clydes families Salvager was in a bad way, attempting to make mooring when two bombers made a pass and hit it broadside with supernovas, blowing the vessel away from the station, and Clyde and Bonnie watched in horror as the Salvager decompressed and exploded, killing everyone onboard. News quickly spread around that other vessels were being hit as well, the loss of several Junker Pilgrims carrying refugees, but no word from or about Bonnies family.
Emotions were flared, hate was embedded, and revenge was sought. With no where to go, no one but themselves to look after, they got passage aboard a smugglers ship bound for Planet Honshu, where they committed their first criminal act, shooting and killing a second-hand ship dealer and with their Junker intuition, hotwired and stole a Wasupu fighter and made haste for the Border Worlds.
With sheer luck, and the unrelenting nature of the fire within them, they made it to Omicron Alpha, Outcast territory. Having heard what horrid trauma the pair had, wealthy business man from the waste industry, offered Clyde a well used, second hand Falcata bomber, on credit to get him set on his way.
The thirst for blood got to Bonnie, she wanted it more. She became relentless, cold blooded and loyal to her man. No one ever stood between her and her target, nor her heart for gold.
Clyde got a acquired a taste for Gallic wine on a daily basis, lungs for some Cryer synth weed (The White Ruby strand made popular in the late 700's), and a leery perverted attraction to hot woman piloting space craft. Monogamy was not something practised by either the two on a regular occurrance. Such was the closeness to each other the bond brought them, not a blonde bombshell from Dublin could even stray the hard mans heart from his one true love. Doesn't mean she can't have anything else!
The pair finally got themselves planted and established, when a couple of members of the elite criminal group, The Society came by them, and offered them a home, a place to hang their helmets for a kip, and some of the most loyal crew of pilots, crewmen, medical and for Clyde, the fabulous concubines from Kusari.
From here, who knows what lays in store for them. But rest assured, when these two modern era gangsters appear on scanners, you best light up your boosters and run.
