The look of his apartment had never been worse, nothing left untouched, nothing worth saving. Still he smiled as he walked slowly to the wall he shared with the neighbouring unit.

Crunch. He dropped the lamp base he was holding and began tearing his way through. He crawled across and raised himself, slowly he made his way to a ceiling tile on the far side of the room. He punched the air, it took him three times but it worked.

A glimmering Tokarov pistol fell to the ground with a dull thud.
