This means that factions cannot withdraw permission to use white cell technology and then submit a violation report because the player suddenly has unauthorised technology.
If appropriate, in role play, concerned player(s) can be killed, FR5'ed by faction(s). But the equipment rights remain.
Good? Good.
Now, i am calling into a question a herethofore undiscussed ambiguity, namely, of blanket tech permissions.
For instance, and this is the one that provoked the thought, the Gaians have granted the Brotherhood unlimited use of the Claymore.
Now, obviously, the above means that they cannot have the admins repossess the currently owned claymores.
But, does it mean that should hostilities come to pass, they also cannot stop us from aquiring more claymores?
Namely, is the irreversaible part the ex post facto of having already acquired such, or the a priori of having permission to do so?
I know it seems like common sense, but common sense don't make it so.

If it comes to hostilities you won't be able to land and get the gear. However, you could set up a new character with a random name, grab a recruit ID, and go buy the ship then rep it to be a Corsair and re name. That is valid. You have the permission to use the ship, and the last I heard, setting up a ship is an ooRP process.
A very good question indeed.
The logical answer would be no, you would need to be able to build the vessel or technology yourself to be able to get anymore.
However this game always comes down to rules, and the way it is stated now would indicate that you can not stop them from getting as many as they like.
The rule could be clarified a little, but I think the meaning behind it is you cannot go and buy more equipment from their bases, but can aquire it within roleplay from other characters who got it before their tech rights where revoked.
For blanket permissions, a list would have to be made up of all the characters who got a hold of the equipment prior to getting their rights revoked for it to be effectively enforced, but the above meaning still stands.
If hostilities arise - Gaians cancel the "we'll automatically approve any new claymores" deal (not the "we'll deliver an unlimited supply of claymores to Tripoli" deal) and that puts the kybosh on any new sair claymores. Any existing ones that are registered in their tech grant channel (which is a requirement) will remain within the rules. Any claymores -not- registered explicitly, oorply, become invalid at that time.
In short. Register what you grab by shipname. That's how admins check if the tech was granted.

That he said. If your tech permission just says that TBH has free use of them, the Gaians are screwed as TBH can still set up new ones. If it is per ship, you simple don't update it for them.
