First Night In a new Galaxy

Straight out of the Manhattan galactic transport terminal I make my way to the flight line where as promised by a friend I find a starflier in my name waiting for me. After the costly price to hitch a ride here all I have left for credits is just a few thousand. Thinking to myself time to make some fast cash.

With that I make my way to the commodities dealer on Manhattan and find that Boron Still sells at a good price so with a bit of luck I launch into space and make my way to the New York to Magellan jump gate only to find I didn't have proper docking codes. Having to take the long way around I turned around and made my way to the New York to California jump gate. The Route from New York to Leeds seems to be basically the same minus the Magellan bit. Unfortunately 20 units of Born to LD-14 won't make me rich but it helps greatly.

Upon launching from LD-14 in the Leeds system my heart is started racing as I find myself running to the trade lane with a flurry of Molly's in pursuit illuminating my path with the muzzle flashes of their weapons and the hair raising streaks of energy based weapons zooming by on either side of my small and vulnerable ship as I make the short yet seemingly epic journey to Stokes Mining Station.

After a bit of a layover at Stokes Mining Facility for repairs I make my way to the Cambridge system to see if I can find the Beryllium mining field behind Cardiff Mining Facility. After a bit of a struggle I found the field however it was seriously diminished from all the industrial mining taking place. Only needing twenty tons of or means it doesn't take me long to fill up my hold. Now to find that gravitational well which will take me to Omega-3. Ah there it is and with that the rest of my trip to The Ring of the New Berlin system is uneventful.

The short flight from The Ring to planet New Berlin however was a bit of excitement again with Red Hessians trying to kill me. At Planet New Berlin I purchase Diamonds and launch for planet Kyushu of the Kyushu system. Like so many others the trip proves to be uneventful. From Kyushu I grab Engine Components and point my ship towards Planet Cambridge of the Cambridge system. Once at Cambridge I reload my little cargo hold with Luxury Food and make the trip back to Manhattan of the New York system.

At Manhattan I decide to upgrade a few things with my recent earnings. First things first a proper Trader ID. Then I make my way to Planet Pittsburgh and trade my Starflier in on a Rhino.

After picking up the Rhino I went back out on the trade lanes for a while to earn enough credits to bribe my way to being somewhat neutral with some of the pirates floating around. With that bit of business behind me I am able to really reach out and feel around in order to attempt to blaze new trails and find better trade runs. I start with another old run I call "Devils Run," It takes me through Cambridge all the way to a distant radioactive system known as Omicron Beta and back.. The run is hazardous as one might expect but the profits are generous to those that survive. With a few round trips under my belt I find myself with the credits to purchase a ship I heard about while on at the bar of planet Cambridge known as the X-Shuttle the only problem was that I would have to make my way to the capitol of the New Tokyo system to purchase the ship. So with a few calculations entered into my datapad I make my way to get the X-Shuttle. With the larger cargo hold the X-Shuttle provides it doesnt take me long to upgrade my ship to the Armored Transport. Now to get back on the money trail.

I've been busy planet side as of the last day or two so I haven't made a lot of credits but I did manage to get myself a better shield for the Armored Transport which has already proven itself to be very nice. Now to hit the trade lanes hard and make some serious credits.

The phrase "Stay alert out here" comes to mind as something I should have been doing. I ran right into a mess of Lane Hackers all my dumb fault for I was not alert. Oh well thank god for insurance and the escape pod.

Once the Insurance people finally took care of me and got me set back up after being ambushed and having my previous ship destroyed. I got going again and got really lucky for a change for I crossed paths with an old friend of mine from long ago, any I was given a loan to get me into yet a larger freighter. Which is awesome for in just a couple of runs with this new Bumblebee and I found myself able to repay that loan. With no more loan looming over me I flew another trade run to put a little jingle in my pocket. Success brought fortune this evening so I go planet side to find a hotel for the night.

Finally able to climb into the cockpit again after taking care of some planet side business. After a few runs this morning I was able to purchase the Boarder Worlds Transport and get it mostly armed there is still one or two more things I would like to upgrade.

Shaking off some serious down time I find myself back in the cockpit trying to finish what Im trying to get accomplished with my freighter, but that means I need credits. Thus I'm out and about trying to make some more credits yet I find it hard to even accomplish that when my ship encounters intermittent power fluctuations. Back to the repair shop I go.
