Faction Idea, Looking for Opinions, Advice, and Potential Interest

((I know I already posted a topic about the Corona Battlegroup another research based faction but I am not actually the leader, just helping the leader get it started. I was inspired by this idea due to recently buying Jinkusu (Yeah yeah, I am a capwhore =P) to RP a mobile research base and Freeport and thought it would be and interesting idea to start up a zoner research group If it seems like it people don't think it is a good idea or it gets absolutely no interest I will just let it go but I thought I would see what people think. I also know this prolly won't get a ton of members due to it primarily focusing on RP but I am really just looking for a small group but if it does somehow grow to a decent size I will be happy too. Also, this is just a rough draft and it subject to change.))

ID: Zoner/Zoner Guard

Goals: To further the general knowledge of Zoners as a whole, research the Nomad threat, and to collaborate with other research groups throughout Sirius to help further technology as a whole.

History: The Omicron Research Fleet is a newly formed and independently funded organization that was started by Dr. Yar Harris, son of elusive and recently deceased billionaire Donald Harris, who used his significant inheritance to fund the construction of a Jinkusu class Zoner Juggernaut named The Wandering Star to act as a both a staging post for his research and as a mobile Freeport due to his respect for his Zoner heritage and as part of the agreement allowing him to purchase the Jinkusu. As of right now, there is very few ships other than The Wandering Star in the fleet but Dr. Harris is currently recruiting scientists throughout the Zoner and general Sirian population.

Zoner Conference Gunboat(Modified for exploration and scientific used, may only use Zoner, Basic, and Solaris Gunboat Turrets to prevent others from thinking it is a war vessel)
Ahoudori - Kusari Explorer(May only use Zoner, Basic, and Solaris Gunboat Turrets to prevent others from thinking it is a war vessel)

You can join Omicroners and do research under 'Croners banner. And access to some fine tech could help.

Yeah I could but aren't the Omicroners all about zoner only interests (Might be wrong on this but it is just my understanding lol)? Well this group is more about advancing tech for Sirius as a whole, even if Zoners are a priority focus. Also, another of my characters is in OSI and since they are kind of rivals it just feels kind of wrong joining both of them xD... still might consider it if my plans fall though.

I would make this all about research and zoner ID jointly. Myself being a physics major in real life, I personally love trading and roleplaying my researcher character. However, you can't own capships on researchers, so I would use researcher id for your smaller crafts and transports and zoner/zoner guard for the heavier things. That way, you get the researcher and the zoner thing. It might be worthwhile to add that Researcher ID'd vessels can land on all lawful bases, while Zoner Guard Whales can't.

Yeah I was thinking about doing a dual ID thing with researcher being on the smaller crafts but I hadn't decided yet. What are other people opinions on having a faction(I know it is unofficial but I am trying to make it be as accepted as possible) with two IDs. Would also be cool because then I wouldn't need to get permission to use the Kusari Explorer and we could use Luxury Liners which I don't think zoners or zoner guards can.
