This needs a bumpity bump bump.

Blizzard purchased the domain diablo3.com a few months ago, and recently they have a picture of... something, on their front page. Every once in awhile it changes, and the most recent change is a symbol was added.
What kind of symbol? Why, a Diablo 2 rune symbol, of course!
Could this mean D3?! We shall see!

Well, I was one of those Diablo,Hellfire,DiabloII,DiabloII LoD addicts.
Me and my wife, that is.... Best Necro-Pally team you've ever laid eyes on *laughs*

Anyways, i'd be glad to see D3 out. However, I hope, for once, Blizzard will remember that it is good to invest in the game quality now and then, Even if that actually brings less fans.
You will have a smaller yet dedicated community.
However, since WoW is going down, I'm really afraid Blizzard will make a milking cow out of D3.
I really don't want to see a WoW clone.

Yes, WoW, as a game is a rather good one. Not great, but good. I used to play the damn thing, with my wife (again, best Warlock-Paladin PvE team you've ever seen).
I stopped playing well... 'cose i was REALLY getting sick of:

"GOLD PLZ!!!!11!!ONE!!!!11"
"HALP I AGGROD!!111!"
"ZOMG I NEEDZ CLOTH ROBE!!!11!! YES, I TAUREN WARROR BUT DIZ ROBE IZ C00L!!!1ONE11!!1"

And the thing that really ruined it for me: gold sellers and power levelers.
The fact that me, the casual player, could not touch the auction house since all items were insanely over-priced.

The day my lvl50 lock was approached by a full epic lvl 70, begging for gold "I NEEDZ JUST 1000 GOLD PLZ!!!11!", and wanting to sell me a quest item, that day i simply disconnected, threw the game in the trash bin, and forgot it even existed.

Also, Blizzard should remember that maybe, just maybe some mature players will want to play the game aswell.
And usually, the more mature audience plays while they should be working, usually on a crappy laptop, not on an all mighty "P5, Million-Core, hey, look I have more megs of RAM than hungry people in Nigeria and that nuclear-power-plant type of humming noise is from my Video Card" type of computers.

I'm an avid Diablo fan, and have played it since it came out ... and reinstalled and played very recently.

Firstly, destroying the soul stones should have barred Diablo and Mephisto from entering our world again, not killing them. The Three tricked Heaven into thinking that Hell was in a civil war and that the Three were exiled to the Mortal world. They tricked Tyrael into using the soulstones on them, tricked the hero into journeying into Hell, all so that Baal could climb Mount Areat unmolested.

The Worldstone was an object created eons ago. It's hinted in the lore that Heaven ordered the mortal realm by creating a barrier to the magical world, stopping the legions of Hell from invading directly and gave calm to the landscape. My theory is that these two things are one in the same and that the barrier is starting to unravel, thus the animation of the hordes of demons running through the portals.

Also, a comment on the gameplay vid. I was urked by the voice in the background. "Hey look guis! A wall of corpses!!!!"

This and the fact that I'm having awful flashbacks to WCIII. Cartoony at first, then gory at the end. Basically, I haven't seen anything new in the vid, other than their great ideas on how to replace the Necro and their hormone-packed Barbarian.

They could pull out a complete win, I don't know. They can't destroy D or DII. My childhood is safe, thank goodness.

"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."

The game play trailers are a bit timed out though. There has been quite progress after the release of those videos, so we should expect a better physics engine. It is still in development.
