Here's everything about Sol that's meaningful that I found on the wiki. Lets boil it down and make it pretty before we put it on the Sol wiki page! Anyone want to help? This page will be edited according to the comments made! Also, if you have any material that I missed or overlooked, go ahead and post it.
Sol was the name for the star for which ancient Earth orbited. The Solar System was the origin of humanity,
and the site from which present-day Sirian colonists departed some time over 818 years ago.
In the tumult of the Exodus, The Liberty launched before the other great sleeper ships. Colonists whisper, even today, that the launch date may have been intentionally moved forward against the explicit wishes of the Great Planners. Early launch would have guaranteed the Liberty free access to the worlds of the Sirius Sector before the other sleeper ships arrived, but all proof of such a betrayal of trust was lost along with Earth.
The period of the century before 0 A.S. (2100-2200 A.D.) was dominated by the war between the Alliance, composed out of western nations of the earth, and the Coalition, created by the east. After a century of brutal warfare, the conflict eventually tipped in favour of the Coalition, when their forces successfully conquered the planet Mars. As a last ditch effort, the Alliance had activated five sleeper ships constructed for escape purposes in the event of a Coalition victory, each of the ships carrying people from a single nation, and named by the people who built it. The German ship was christened as the Rheinland.
In 0 A.S. (2200 A.D.) the Coalition push reached Jupiter, and the Alliance sleeper ships were launched from the surface of Titan, straight into a full blown Coalition blockade. During the breakthrough, three of the ships (French, Italian and Australian) were heavily damaged, and presumably lost. Five managed to escape: the Kusari, the Bretonia, the Hispania, the Liberty and the Rheinland. Their course was set towards the distant Sirius sector, a long way away from their conflict in the Solar System.
Earth is the home planet of the humans in Sol and where the 100 year war between the Coalition and the Alliance. The entire system was presumably destroyed by a secret Nomad weapon
During the War of Sol, two blocs fought for complete control over the Sol System: the Alliance and the Coalition. The Coalition was composed of the communist nations of Russia, China, the Middle East, and Africa and the Alliance was composed of the democratic nations of the United States, Western Europe, Japan, and Australia.. For decades, constant fighting between the two factions ensued, with neither side gaining the upper hand for long.
In 2160, the Alliance proposed and signed a peace treaty between the two blocs, but as the Coalition admiral headed to Europa (one of Jupiter's moons) to sign it, he ordered a Coalition fleet to de-cloak and attack the Alliance fleet, who had stood down from battle after hearing about the treaty. Instead of ending the war peacefully, they destroyed the French and Italian fleets and took control of all the inner planets, including Earth, and most of the outer planets, excluding Neptune. Two years later, the Alliance recovered the outer planets and began its assault on the inner planets. Eventually, the Coalition was beaten back to Mercury. However, by some unknown means, the Coalition gained the upper hand and began to counterattack, eventually retaking every planet in Sol.
Shortly after the Exodus of the Five Sleeper Ships, the Coalition arrived on Dwarf Planet Pluto, the last stronghold of the Alliance. As the last defenders of the planet prepared for battle, a Nomad superweapon arrived and destroyed the Sol System, wiping out all traces of humanity.
The Alliance succeeded in creating the first super soldier, codenamed: GABRIEL. The soldier had higher reflexes, greater intellect and strength than the average soldier, along with all round improved bodily functions. GABRIEL was released into a research colony on the surface of Mars, controlled by Coalition forces, in a effort to take possession of much needed research materials, and to steal the plans for the Coalition's newly formed 'jump drives'. The mission was a resounding success and the project was given a full go ahead to start mass production of these soldiers.
The Vengeance, or the Alliance Battlecruiser Vengeance, was built by the Mars Shipyards in the solar system Sol. Equipped with hyperdrive engines, nuclear warheads and several phased plasma forward cannons, the Vengeance was built to cut through enemy capital ships like a hot knife through butter. This Battlecruiser is most notably mentioned in the battle of Saturn's 4 moons, and the 5th Battle of Saturn. Notable kills are the Coalition Dreadnoughts Isei and Leiana, and the Coalition Carrier Mistodan. The Vengeance is commanded by Commodore Salazar Kithe and is a member of the 14th Capital Division.
As the sleeper ships were created, the Vengeance was notable in it's defence of the installation, mainly in its role in the destruction of scouts that discovered the creation of the Sleeper Ships. Commodore Salazar Kithe was assigned to the Sleeper Ship Bretonia, and so loaded the Vengeance with all the information he could find of the human race. He included libraries of writings, pictures of works of art and statues, religious texts, technology, pictures of the planets, weapons and anything else he could find.

big hole. This Salazar dude...He is able to live for over 100 years? Anyone from the sleeper ships would have died LONG before said Cruiser made it to sirius, plus If this Vengeance was indeed estimated to take double the time of said sleeper ship then It would have arrived at 408AS.

He was apparently in a cryo-tube, but it was a player-character. We should probably root that out since it's not super-official, right?
I apologise about the misunderstanding with the Wiki. I'm not sure whether or not you want to accept it as Canon, Kithe was always a slightly strange one, though I hope I play him well.
