If not, then what would these 2 people do, as I dont see them on the document, and no space-british parliament is complete without them IMO.
In the interest of balancing power, it might also be wise to; in the same way that one player cant hold more than one MP position, one player cant be the steward, and an MP. However, as there are only a limited amount of players who would be interested, I can see why perhaps no-one would want to be only a steward, again why I suggest the stewards job being done by whoever is RPing the Queen.
Finally, who makes up the War council? I dont think the doc mentions that. If it is the BAF, then perhaps they should not have seats in the regular parliament, as they already have their say from the war council. I mean, I dont think soldiers vote in parliament? Unless they are Lords? But I can see why if we DIDNT have the war council, having the BAF in regular parliament would be time saving, in allowing them to have their say.

This is quite good, really. Very top drawer... I approve and support this.
There are a few ideas I would like to suggest, mostly to do with the Party system.
-Firstly I would suggest that new political parties could be added if five players, who have Bretonian characters who are either 1 month old with fifty hours of fly time or two months old, sign a petition to propose the creation of said party, and the Steward approves the petition. Players who meet the above conditions may propose as many political parties as they like and sign as many petitions as they like. Signing a petition does not nessicaraly indicate that player/character's support for said party. Each party must have at least three standing members of parlament willing to join said party, or at least four persons campaigning for a seat in parlament willing to join said party should they win their elections.
-Secondly, if a diffrent system for forming political parties is in place, may I suggest that various standing members of parlament be allowed to form 'Sub-parties,' which would fall under the ideological umbrella of one of the main parties, but pursue mostly their own adgenda (EX; the Royalist party could have various ministers who are simply members of the Royalist party, but also have ministers who are part of sub groups like the 'war hawks' or the 'Bowex fringe.)
-Thirdly, I'd like to suggest changing the name of the Federalist party to the 'Populist party,' because I read alot about the Populist party in old Bretonian lore.
Mainly, however, I think it's great. I don't think it would be more work than it is worth, as the debates themselves would generate alot of good RP in themselves. Not only that, but an actual working political system that everyone who RPs a Bretonain can participate in would set Bretonia apart from the rest of Sirius, and I belelive it would make Bretonia more conducive to RP and good PVP, and less conducive to bad PVP and whining.
Oh, and give this a subforum if people decide to go ahead with it. Heck, make it a faction if you can:PQCG| = Queen Carina's Government... Worked O.K. for the other guys, check with them if you can use the tag.
If we can, I'll see about a possible Bretonian subforum for this.
Also, apologies on the delay, I've been a bit busy with quite a few things lately. I will be away from internet mostly until Thursday. I hope to have the second (and hopefully final) draft of the writeup completed and presented then, and initial MP registration happening this coming weekend.
That's very top draw, DAB! It's worth a try but it's going to be a LOT of work! Looking forward to the next update. I hope this can be controlled and doesn't become too much of a beast! The problem with introducing actual politics to a game is that it can cease being a game for those that have to be the politicians. Good luck never the less!
Thank you for your feedback. A second draft is just about ready and will be posted sometime in the next 1-3 hours, along with us starting MP registration. I'll add a link to the new thread when it is made.
