I have tried to post this in a more appropriate place multiple times with no success. Since there is no forum to speak directly to admins, I have posted here out of frustration.
I spent yesterday morning at the dentist which resulted in a break from my work responsibilities in the afternoon. SInce I had some personal time , I decided to login to the Discovery RP server which I recently added to my collection of mods. In the mod, I was using the character name of Kaulderra. It had been day three of using this mod and I was interested in trying out the new freighter I just purchased on planet Manhattan.
While flying around in the immediate area, I observed one of the administrators log in and park at Newark Station. This reminded me of a question I wanted to ask about why the Admin faction was hostile to my character even though I had done 0% combat. I was informed by another player that Admins are hostile to everyone. I don't know if that is true, but the admin online at the time didn't say different. At around 1400 EST one of the players on the server started spamming some kind of hack site (discoveryhack.dt or something of that ilk). The admin promptly banned the player after repeated warnings by other players. A minute later, a different player started spamming the same hack site. That player was kicked and banned. This happened four or five times. The admin made a comment that he would have to do some kind of IP ban to prevent the malicious player from simply logging in as a different character and continuing his spams. At about that time, I saw a peculiar thing... on the System Channel I watched the following:
Departing player: Kaulderra
New Player: Kaulderra
At that moment, my character name was used to spam the same hack site on the System channel.
I had a brief moment to type out that I did not write the spam and that I had no control over what happened. My character was then kicked. I quickly attempted to log back in and protest that I was not participating in any of the activity. I could not get my message out in time and was then kicked and banned. I was parked close to the admin who banned me at the time of this incident, though I do not recall his/her name. They must have seen me flying around.
So, I am writing to protest my banning. I was not the individual who was spamming the hack site. I do not know how he was able to spam using my character channel. This incident likely caused other innocent and legitmate players to be unjustly banned; the admin booted at least four other characters before my channel was used.
I request that my character (Kaulderra) be un-banned. If you wish to discuss this further, I will be happy to answer any further questions.

I was the Admin who Kicked the players spamming the website address.
i was the one who kick/banned that name i have the IP of that name of the spammer so i banned him in our Anti-cheat and FLhook and if you are able to log back in then it was not you.
if you are unable to log back in then you have a lot to explain as to why you should be unbanned.
I am now able to log into the Discovery server which is a relief to me. If you feel that this thread is not needed in this rules section, please don't hesitate to delete it. See you in space.
