[color=#FFFFFF]It's definitely not fake.

It's a part of Experiments in the Revival of Organisms

All of the organs in the body except for the reproductive and sensory systems exist for one purpose only.To provide "quality" blood for the brain. If you use a machine to provide the perfect blood solution for the brain(Oxygen, CO2 levels .etc) you can keep it functioning for some time as modern life support machines do, that doesn't mean it is alive though, as it shows only nervous responses not higher brain functions. . The experiments you are seeing are carried out by Sergey Bryukhonenko and although they might seem a bit unethical paved the way for today's transplantations of organs artificial hearts and lung machines. The prototype that is keeping the head alive is called the Autojector and is the one of the first life support machines created. What you are seeing is not difficult to do from a medicinal point of view and it's been done numerous times in universities. A simple example if you witnessed chicken slaughter after you separate the head it shows activity for about a minute after the separation if you provide oxygen saturated blood to it through the arteries you can keep it functioning. It's not fake definitely, it's unethical and somewhat misunderstood, but if you ever have a transplant or you are on life support machines this might be one of the reasons for your possible survival

It's about timing anyway... How fast can you plug the oxygen and blood drivers to cut-off head, before the brain cells start destructing

I'm all up for scientific progression, and if you're going to mess around with nature, I'm -fine- with it as long as I don't hear about it. Ignorance is bliss.

Feel sorry for the dog, but yee, I declare it being fake as well. Technically and biologically speaking, I guess it's possible to live without a body, if there are machines available to copy the needs for the head to survive, as if it were on a body...

But no, the dog moved his head as if he were using neck muscles, his head was not cut off...

EDIT: Ghost in the Shell, becoming more realistic every day. I would love to have a pet Tachikoma.:cool:
