So i just saw this conversation: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?sh...79448&st=10

There he ask for permission to bring cardamine into gallic space which brigands allows for the right price.
I then checked the wiki and it says cardamine is not only illegal but Union Corse (which i believe controls half of the black market) will strongly act against that since they were always afraid of that time, when Outcasts draw in and swap over Gallia with their best drug. In addition: How will the Council act against this? For sure they dont want to risk this crack be shared within their population?

So if i'm in the Council or Union Corse and i met such a foreigner with cardamine onboard, but dealing with brigands, how should i react?

I'd tell him to drop his cargo; either by means of piracy (as Corse) or by removing contraband (Council).

Gallian leaders are aware of the threat of Cardamine and many do not want it in the house.

There was a sig here, once.

There's been a RP about this back in the days jameson ruled the OC skies. i was part of said RP along with some other people. we discussed a way to take over gallia.

How: OC's supply cardamine to brigand bases, brigands use their connections and magic and whatever else to spread it among the people.

Is it illegal?

Official GRP and GRM as well as official companie (cause of the law the first two will put up): cardi addicts are dependant on the OC, and will do whatever they want to keep em pleased. does GRP and GRM want that? NO they wanna STay boss n they'll keep it like that (and who can blame em?)

Brigands: they are like the GC are in kusari, our only way to penetrate the respective house market with cardamine. they'd get rich rich rich.

Groups like the council/maquis: well imma refer to the powertripping rogue leaders (sorry, truth be told) they have put up somekind of OORP RP where they go against every lore and write their own story and since cardamine would make em dependant on the OC, they'll come with something OORP as the rogues did "trololol u no can haz power, the new generation hasnt taken cardamine and isnt addicted although the old generation would have been way more powerfull and live way longer than them and favour those that do use cardamine and would probably eliminate everyone who doesnt (which they would succeed seeing as cardamine makes people superhumans) also the rogues also have the power to decide that suddenly 95% of their people stopped using cardamine and so on. you get my point

A Psalm out of the outcast history books.
The dons are our shepherds; I shall not want. They make us live with a cause; They lead us trough the still vasts of space. They restore our souls; They lead us in the paths of righteousness For The Orange Dream. Yai, though we fly through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil; For the Spirits are with us; Your leadership and Your cardamine, they comfort us. You prepare a safe home for us in the presence of our enemies; Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us All the days of our life; And we will dwell in the house of the outcasts Forever

Thanks. That really helped.

Sad too see the Council act so frikkin evil tho. I know they are military of some kind, but i always thought they respect other lifes as well and would be more protective instead of endanger the people. Such sacrafices just seem a bit wrong in my eyes.

(Meh. Im not playing in there for a good reason now. The recruiting channel made me cry, srsly.) ^^

What really sad is that you listen to what only one side is saying.
Council are protecting citizens of Gallia, they wish to replace the GRN and thus are working against Cardamine and Slavery. Also the OCs attacked the Council's first expeditions that went to Omicron-80 killing them all. (if you really wanna see, Council and OC npcs are shooting each other in Orkney).

Now, the Maquis are terrorists, they oppose enslaving people of Gallia in any way, be it oppressive crown or dangerous drug, not to mention that the Council and the IMG/CR are on quite good terms and attack outcasts together.
So no, there is no "OORP hate", I have both OC characters and Council ones and I have no problem with each shooting the other. OCs will be killed by the Council, the GRN, and the GRP. The Corse also will kill them when there are no Brigands in the area since OCs are a competition on the market of Gallia (which the Brigands have more control of because they helped the Council and thus gained a few favors).

Maybe. But i never heard the other one. I see GRN and GRP all the time, never saw any Council. How can i expirience things when they dont appear? The server has imho always more Indis than faction members on. So strongly said that Indis with their numbers sooner or later will determine where this all is going if you know what i mean. Numbers can make difference.

Uh, replace the Crown? I thought they just want accomplish friendship between the Colonies? You say they want the same the Royalists do and only fight over the charge of Gallia?

I dont want to see killing, thats the whole point i'm confused about. I wondering how they wanna upkeep freedom with such actions, instead of considering diplomatic relationship for everyone is fine with? (selling cardamine to the royalist ranks could do more damage than a war. Drug dealers can smash a house in pieces...)

Hm, so UC and Brigands need eachother but they're always competitve in doing so (like Samura and Kishiro)?

the council's primary goal up to this point is to survive the attacks of the royalist forces and subsequently elimination of royalist influence in the gallic government. it is a parody of the french revolution, where louis xvi and his feudals are represented by the current gallic king with his royalists. the so called 'enlightement' movement following more democratic principles is represented by the council. sadly enough, nobody is perfect and the world is not black and white. it never was - so do not idealize people. the council official faction has no trouble to get their hands dirty and blame it on maquis, which is the actual deal. nobody is perfect. welcome to life.

the cardamine question was answered a long time ago when the outcasts attacked the council ships (trying to warn sirius) in omicron 80. ie - no cardi in gallia approved by council. it is contraband and afaik always will in council controlled space.

Idealism is also a way in life? I have my way to see Council as they were the ideal even if they are not. So there are no Knights in shiny armor? Fine, i'll play him then. If you just take things as they are you never gonna change a thing. And i thought the RP is actually bringin the spice in form of acting individually?
But this is getting way too offtopic. So thanks for sharing your opinions and replies. I got my answer.:)

Peace :ylove:

again - council will never approve of the 'outcast poison'. it would eventually lead to enslavement of gallia to outcasts, which is not their agenda, obviously.
