As some of you may know I am currently planning on creating a Gallic Junker faction, however whilst doing a little bit of research today I came across something that seems to be very odd in my opinion.
In roleplay the only goods that can be brought in and out can be carried by Junkers:
Imports are; Counterfeit Software
Artifacts
Alien Organisms
Quantum Multiplexors Nuclear Devices
Jump Gate / Trade Lane Parts
Trade between Gallia and Sirius is limited to Junkers and specially approved shippers. Others may be working as spies for the houses of Sirius and to be treated likewise. What cargo is not taken for analysis should be destroyed, lest it fall into the hands of our enemies or be rigged to harm us. Even from those we trust, only a limited number commodities are to be taken from Sirius, and they are for research purposes only; we do not trust our industry with their supplies, but may learn from their devices. Our current import interests are as follows:
Quote: * "Counterfeit software," as it is known in Sirius, has been a great source of information about their cultures and dispositions for both us and traitors of all breeds. Such material should be transported to Chateau Salins Station in Lorraine and kept out of the hands of our foes.
* The development of Gate/Lane Parts remains mysterious, and any further supplies toward new construction or reverse-engineering the technology will prove useful. Briancon Station in Dauphine has facilities for processing them. * Nuclear devices, while dangerous in the hands of criminals and traitors, are invaluable to the war effort. They are to be dropped off at any Royal Navy base, with Battleships Beuvray and Rocroi preferred. Any transport of such material to any other locations is to be considered treason.
* Quantum Multiplexors are a recent development from Kusari that may prove very useful to our engineering. While not yet safe to install, we have set up research facilities on Avallon Station that are interested in supplies of these devices.
* We are also interested in all so-called "alien" artifacts, remains, and technology. While we have yet to establish a steady exchange price for these objects, the transfer of these objects to our bases is permitted and encouraged.
Those allowed to bring the above supplies to Royal bases are also allowed to take select exports out with them as well. Currently, we are allowing the export of tobacco, wine, and specially modified holo-tainment bands available on Dijon Station. These commodities may be distributed anywhere in Sirius at shipper's discretion.
Quote:I will be attaching a list of goods the Junkers are restricted from carrying. Being caught with these goods will mean immediate execution.
Restricted Goods
Prometheum
Military Vehicles
Black Market Munitions
Cardamine Counterfeit Software Nuclear Devices
Which cancels out what I see in roleplay as completely and utterly nuts. As how is Gallia going to gain physical information about Sirius when the only allowed shipper can't even do it? Nor even gain Nuclear Devices when the only allowed Shipper can't even ship it in to Gallia?
Either start correcting things when you say people can't do something or take the silly restriction away, to allow rp gain to Gallia as the only thing you are hurting is Gallia roleplay by having that restriction when it is perfectly allowed in law to do that, and when its only one allowed player ID allowed to do such things.
Or can someone explain why I seem to think this is idiotic and should be as it is with all the posted evidence?
But gallias law can be taken as Evidence which supported wiki as well. So can't use that clause till either forum part gets updated. But will say now, if the evidence taken from Gallic law is removed Gallia in rp will have no way of gaining physical intel on Sirius culture etc. And have no way to gain Nuclear devices either.
You did good by checking with the forums, got my thumbs up with that. Might be quicker to refer to it first next time. See my post in your thread in the wiki dev section of these forums. You'll note how such a discrepency can be fixed.
I'm sorry but I prefer to put useless things first that then can be backed up by something more valid. Is the poroper way to do it. If someone can't be bothered to read a post fully then thats there own fault. Not mine. If they can't be bothered to read a short post thats there problem. They can't be asked to read properly.
I have always been tuaght to back up you comments after making your comment. All I did was that. I made my comment, showed something to back it up, then I showed something to back me up further. Before providing the contradictory evidence. If someone can't actually be bothered to understand that concept, well what else can I say. There just plain idle and darn lazy.
