I have a guy that is LSF and according to the tech-chart he is able to use Lane Hacker stuff. Isn't it against the RP principles for a lawful faction to use gear from an unlawful faction? I have read that argument for other things so it is very odd to see it here. Is it a necessary break from the fiction for balance purposes or something? Will I get flamed for using Hacker guns on my ship?
How am I supposed to get class-9 Hacker gear without breaking RP? Do the guard factions drop high-level loot? That might work for the guns but how do you get ships in RP?
Is it possible to share map data among the characters? I spent a lot of hours with my 1st toon mapping out every system (including the guard faction systems) and almost every station therein, but my 2nd toon doesn't see any of that. If it's toon-specific that's alright I suppose but I would have only done it one time with my trader instead of my fighter. Man o man I do not want to map all of Sirius again
You guys should make one station somewhere that pays 10,001 credits for a CC, just to see how many people would make the trip
How much room is there in the code for non-combat missions? EG, 1,000 units of something (resource or passengers or whatever) need to be delivered to another station within an hour for this fee. I used to goof with a small space game on my Mac (back in the mid-90s) and it had those kinds of missions which were more interesting than just blow stuff up
Been thinking about how hard it is to play a lawful aligned and now I am wondering why there aren't any house-specific civilian factions. Maybe make them slightly positive to all of the other house factions (lawful and unlawful) and let the rep go from there. There are already house-civilian items so somebody has probably already thought of it.
It's an interesting game. Kind of slow except when it isn't
