I was trying to resolve this without a sanction. Perhaps an engagement notice was given but the lag was so horrid, I didn'€™t see it.

If he can PM me we can talk about it there, but this is my only method, outside sanctionlancing the guy, to find out.

You could have tried to contact the guy without indirectly accusing him of breaking rules.

By the time I was able to log back in, he wasnt there and I have no clue who he is.

Apparently, trying to resolve issues out of a sanction appears to be a foreign concept here.

Calling someone out in public on the forums for rule-breaking, suspected or provable, is considered "trial by forum" and isn't allowed.

The admins can check the logs on their end to see if the person ever said anything, and if they did, no sanction will come of it. If they didn't say anything, they get in trouble.

Filing a sanction report is the right thing to do.

He is simply askimg for proof because lag screwed him over. He wants to know if he missed it by lag,instead of sanctions.

The guy did the right thing - he tried to resolve it without putting more work on the admin's shoulders. Is it a trail by forum? Hell no. He presented no evidence, not asked what we think and defiantly didn't ask whether or not a rule was broken. He simply tried to do what's right in his eyes.

If asking someone to PM you about something they did in-game, don't include details concerning potential rule violations. Simply ask them to PM you or send in a rule violation report. Putting their name on the forum and saying they broke a rule is not okay, and never has been, regardless of the pretext.
