Jumpgate Evolution. A cancelled game due to the issues in between the developer and the publisher / licensor.

Black Prophecy has awesome graphics but it is a pure PvP game with some vanilla story line going on. No capships, no different ships, only the faction ships with modules. A very different system from FL. It is fun, some of the vanilla missions are quite nice (like capital ship battles, transport piloting etc) but the clan structure there is all about killing. May be quite disappointing if you are looking for RP.

I wouldn't say no to a new space game with awesome RP options but we have to wait until something like that comes out.

I'm not saying i want a new game to play instead of Freelancer. I linked the video because I wish that Freelancer's graphics engine was as good as that. IMO, nothing can beat Freelancer's gameplay.

This has the potential to be Freelancer 2 on a totally new scale. Check the 2010 tech demo, the list of features, everything ; It's going to be massive. But it's far from done.

I've i played games for graphics, i would be playing Crysis 2, definitely not Freelancer. But when you have a gaming PC that can play Crysis 2, full blown graphics, everything turned up and it working smoothly, it would still be nice to enjoy a game with good gameplay with good graphics too.

You can't force a game from 2003 that is working on a integrated graphic with 96 mb ram to work on a modern GPU

It's based via FLMM otherwise you will have version problem.

I mean unzip and install things YOU need.
I did so to HD graphics - installed all stuff except effects, to avoid gallia lags
