This is the first time I've went this way since the mod. I was in my fully loaded Shire transport and I jumped to the next system. Then the game window shrank to nothing and eventually closed. I reloaded and finally got back in only to find myself in the middle of Stuttgart, no where near the gate exit.

Don't know if this is on my side or the server's but I thought it was notable.

Also, I randomly saw ships pass me in a split second (I'm not on a trade lane). I'm not sure if these people were also jumping from Omega 7 as well.

When jumping to a system you end up at a specific position in that system for a very short time. For example in Omega-3 you are close to the Cambridge JG for a second, or in Bering you are like 20k east of off FP2...

When you disconnect during the jump it can happen that you aren't teleported from there to the actual JG exit in the system, therefore you end up "somewhere" in space in the system you jumped to.

Happened to me a few times now, at any number of gates. Mine usually crashes to a blue screen and the computer resets. There's an issue somewhere, no doubt. I've docked from the California JH to Texas and then reloaded the game to find myself near the Hudson JH in Texas. Kinda fun, RP it is a Jump Drive malfunction.

The cause of the issue would be nice to know, then perhaps we could fix it.

I figured it had something to do with jumping in general and disconnecting in the middle of it. I'm just not sure if it was something on my end or not. I figure if it was me, it would just be a connection issue and I would be taken back to the menu or something. Instead it was that the window crashed during the jump.

Woohoo! It happened again. This time going from Colorado to New York with a full hold of toxic waste.

I blame the toxic waste.

Not really expecting a response to this. But now I'm going to use this thread to record the incredibly random places I end up when I log back in.

Word has it, that an enabled 3D-Sound may be the main source of these kind of crashes.
Disabling the 3D-Sound might do wonders.

In a brilliant tactical movement, i charged backwards.

That's the server moving other ships to their destination coordinations. Usually I only see the contrails, but sometimes will get a ship model for half a frame

Certainly does, my old computer used to blue screen on any jump gate, with about a 10% chance. Turned off 3d sound and it never happened again.
