Kujira Replacement - Concept

Hello ladies and mentlegen,

I've spent a few hours tinkering in Google Sketchup with an original model for our imported Kujira model. It's not detailed, but a basic concept - I'm hoping a modeller may get some inspiration from it.

What do you think? Constructive feedback appreciated.

Do you want to hear "it looks like a block" or "I can't figure out the shape"?
I'm sorry, but as Dusty said, it's still too early.

I would suggest either sticking with the Kujira style or rather develope something more along the GMG line-style.

I'm trying to stick to the Kujira style, with an armored shell over the cargo pods below.. maybe it's not very obvious but that's what I was aiming for ._.

I'll try and make it more detailed so it's a bit easier to figure out. Updated the pics in the first post.

I'd put an armored shell on both top and bottom, with a spacer in the middle of both shells wherein lies the cargo pods, and then stick an engine blocky thing on the back, and a bridge/crew module running in a rechtangle along the topside length of the ship, from front to back.

As a VERY rough concept - in terms of shape, it is VERY roughly correct.

Why not just model it on scaled down/updated sleeper ships - they were effectively defenceless carrier ships. The technology already existed.
