Possible issue: the target filtering. Cause I scan them on ShipView with players only filter and hit target View (for subtargeting and keeping target in visual on scanner)
CTDed 5 times like that in last 24 hours. Not sure if it's just cargo scan or target view alone or together, but it's clear, that those CTDs appear when I try to scan and screen IDs - just unclear if it's cause of filtering or Subtargeting or something.
EDIT: I was switching to subtarget view for some time already - never used to CTD. And individual tests - it doesn't appear to give CTDs when trying to cause it manually. So I can't give more valuable information yet. Will drop a Reply when ever I'll find exact situation, when CTDs appear frequently
