I've been in contact with a member of the Gallic royal family, Princess Alice DeFrance, you're probably not familiar with her, yet she came to me with very interesting information as well as a proposition. The transmission copies are attached to this communique. You'll find that she has a point, I'm sharing this with you because I trust you enough Vaughn, I know you'd rather not have our nation in ruins. You already know about the situation with Liberty and now even Bretonia. Pretty sure it isn't a coincidence.
I need your opinion on this, and yours only, most in Command would charge me with treason for even considering her proposal and I've yet to talk with her sister.

I've just talked to Diocletian. Had me waiting in line for a half of hour.
He won't do anything. Not until either Liberty or the Bretonians openly admit it.
And DeFrance. She does have reasoning behind what she says. However, I'm not sure I want to give in to that yet. Try to get something conclusive from her. If the Brets and their buddies are really going to turn against us, we need to make sure Gallia is the right choice. Even more since we don't have many of those choices left.

They're not gonna admit anything, Vaughn.
That's obvious enough, just looking for a reason to do something about us, why, I have no idea but that doesn't change the facts. Our choices? All but two are speculation and you damn well know it Gabriel. What are we going to do? Keep running? We're out of places to run, we're surrounded in here, our best best was keeping it smooth with Liberty and Bretonia, we can see how that's going. No, I don't think we really have another option except trying. It's not like the Gallics will really get anything out of destroying us, yet we don't know.
I'm still waiting for Aurelia, and see what her opinion and thoughts are on the matter. Alice insures me that if both of them take up the proposition to their father, he'd listen. I honestly don't know but we're running out of time. Do I trust her? I...We, have been in this for years together Gabriel, military psychology is something I know from end to end, yet...these Princesses might control thousands of men and ships however they're not what you would call a soldier, too relaxed, non caring..
My first thought is trust, but I can never be sure. Either way, however this might go, we need to make sure we have eyes in the Taus, does Naia have any CIS operatives on board she can use? Naia seems to have found Hades in Tau 39. Sector E6. It's in a pretty bad shape. The engines are destroyed, so moving it is not possible. We can however begin using it as a forward base. Regardless, Naia will remain there with Valkyrie and Hellas.
Our choices are very limited indeed. Talk to Aurelia. See her stance on this.

Hmm, Hades you say..
Indeed we should get her up and running as a base, yet I suggest we keep that secret from pretty much anyone else, even if this thing goes down with the Gallics, I don't want them knowing we have a place to base task forces at. We also need the Admiralty board to meet, after I talk with Aurelia that is.
