your legs appear normal, but your muscles arent grown in a proper way so they cannot support your full body weight

Dergin Tokmak was born December 26, 1973 in Augsburg, Germany. He contracted polio when 1 year old. Poliomyelitis is a virus that attacks the nerves that control your muscles. In Dergin's case, he lost the control of his left leg and some of the control of his right.

Basically through dancing he's trained himself up - this is something he's been doing literally all his life. That's why he's now dancing with Cirque de Soleil - and yes, he really is crippled.
