I have just thought of a worse scenario than this asteroid hitting the earth:

if it hits the satellite that i intend to use to get back onto the game. at the moment i have an 8kb connection. noooot quite speedy enough to play, and my ping is 300-3000. kicked for lag much?
so, if it leaves the earth alone, but takes out the satellite, i will be so angry i'll kick ponies.
