So is there a FL2 out there?

I loved to play the Single player game (even now I redo it a few times a year for fun). But has any one or group made a mod for a 2nd campain with a story line -not a sever pvp/rp game but a new fl game?

There's about a dozen mod projects that attempt to make a 'Freelancer 2', all of which have had varying degrees of success.
Most of which being on the unsuccessful side of things.

There is no Freelancer 2, despite their best efforts.

Crossfire 1.9 has a singleplayer campaign if I remember right. It's not even that bad from what I heard.

CF 1.9's campaign starts when you finish the vanilla campaign. So basically an extension of the original story.

Though, you would need a bit better PC for that mod in case it would be a problem. But yeah. Storyline seems to be very interesting. It's about the Daam K'Vosh and more...from what I have heard.

Yeah, visually crossfire is awesome. Storyline is cool too, flying around in Sol and encountering a badass coalition.

Yeah, although there are some things that are borderline nonsense, like GMG owning a hypergate... in O-3, or fully developed inhabited system with tradelanes etc owned by rheinland, that is only accessible via O-41, also no corsairs there, and so on.
