Hawk just informed me of a Navy F-18 that crashed in Virginia Beach.

Live Stream: http://www.wavy.com/generic/news/WAVY_Ne...ive_Stream

What I have heard is that the Pilots where apparently confirmed dumping fuel before crashing, and that both pilots are ok (however in shock)

This is quite close to some of the Eastern Seaboard people, such as me, Hawk, Kaiwren(kinda).

Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.

Surprisingly, nobody has died in the crash from what I've read.

Nobody yet.

The pilot was helping people get away and making sure nobody was dead.

Even in training there is a calculated risk. Its a good thing pilots are trained for this. Dumping the fuel before crashing probably saved a bunch of lives.

[color=#FFFFFF]Yeah I just watched BBC, they said that the pilots aimed the stricken jet for the courtyard to minimise damage, kudos to them

Saw this on the news today, damn good job to the pilots for trying to put it where it was going to do as little damage as possible.

Still, amazing that nobody was hurt, although I believe that there was a lot of property damage.
Fortunately, most 'property' can be replaced. :)
