The RECRUIT John Spartan BUCKETS has been suspended from active service as of the 11/08/819 due to exposure to a highly dangerous material. This material, supposedly originating from Gallia, is known as Promethene. LSF initial reports suggest that Promethene is used as an efficent power source by the Gallics for their capital ships. A direct exposure to promethene is extremely dangerous, resulting most of the time in a quick death by extreme radiation.
The patrol report 5472-CAL-965AG states that the Recruit Buckets tractored the unknown material in his cargo hold after putting out of action a smuggler flying an unknown ship, with the intent to deliver the said substance to the LSF for analysis. The Recruit later became delusional, talking about "ducks, rice in space and the Commodore Christina Robinson being an undercover intelligent terrorist salad created by the MND to assassinate David Hale."
The Recruit was expected to die within 48h due to the intense exposure. Instead, it would appear his body suffered of mutations that resulted in an immunity to radiation. The secondary effects of Promethene exposures still have effect on Buckets, such as paranoia about David Hale's security, illusions such as Rogue Barghests appearing as "threatening giant apples with a mustache" and generally absolutely weird things that make no sense at all.
The Recruit Buckets is due for a medical check up by Dr. Rosenberg in order to find out the potential DNA alterations that created this immunity to radiation, which might become useful to ensure our pilots safety in radioactive operation zones or systems.
