Wait until they work. Then ask your questions again.
However, I might answer some:
1. Every ship which has a Carrier Bay (Transporters, Cruisers and Battleships).
2. You target the ship and use f3, or tip /dock
3. Only snubs can dock.
4. Only that many b/b's as the owner has.
5. The docked ships get back to the station, where they last docked.
6. Don't know that. I guess not.
7. Yes, I think so.
Some more informations:
' Wrote:Docking Modules
Small player ships may dock with any ship that is carrying docking modules. Only one ship may be carried in a docking module and the standard module supports ships that have holds of 275 units or smaller.
To dock with another ship, the player must target the docking module carrier and either type /dock or press F3. The docking module carrier will be notified of the docking request and must then authorize the request by targeting the requesting ship and typing /allowdock.
A docking module carrier may see which ships are docked by typing stdocked and may jettison docked ships into space by typing /jettisonship <shipname>.
Yeah. Since we don't have working docking modules yet, we don't have an in-depth description on how to use them.
At the very least, it can be inferred that ships with a "Carrier Bay" slot in their external equipment list will be able to mount docking modules. These slots seem to be on most large capital ships, and on some large transports.
And it seems that "How they work" will be something as simple as targeting a ship with a module and pressing F3.
But we don't know anything for certain right now.
EDIT: And then Narcotic edited his post and made the information in mine redundant. Oh well.

Quote:Yes. Some Battlecruiser and Battleships have more than one Carrier Bay slot.
In addition, Carriers (Liberty Carrier, not sure about Rhienland, Aqulion, etc) have "Heavy Carrier" slots on them, but there is only 1 docking module class availible for construction

which brings up other questions...
Yea, that's done for future expansion purposes. Cannon had some ideas and I didn't want to have to go in and tweak all models a second time, so I set two levels of hangar bay hardpoints at that time. All liners have 2 light bays, all heavier transports 1. Cruisers, battlecruisers and upwards have one or two. Battleships, depending on their size, have two or three. Carriers have two plus two heavies as I recall.
