Junker Salvage Frigate mining?

Hello.

My question is:
can the Junker Salvage Frigate be used to mine something other that scrap metal?
For example if i equip a indipendent miner ID, can i mine Niobium Ore?
Or if i get a mining faction ID and IFF, will i get a bonus?

It can mine Scrap Metal and Premium Scrap. Nothing else.
