There are few records about Obsidian Zoetic Faction and almost none about the Zoners behind it.
It is known that OZ started as a charity organization founded by a group of rich zoners somewhere around 817 AS. It was supposed to take care of injured civilians that felt as targets to the endless wars between the Houses. But they encountered a lot of resistance from House private medical clinics and even from the houses politicians since OZ tried to act neutral and aid all the sides in a war, thing that made them look like traitors in some systems.
After the unfortunate bombardment of Toledo by the nomad forces, the OZ realized that mankind lacks the necessary technology and resources to fight against the Nomads. Therefore they decided to set up a research facility in Omicron Zeta, a system at the border of nomad worlds. This way getting fresh samples shouldn't be a problem. The facility was finished at the beginning of 818 AS. But, OZ couldn't keep it on their own because of the increased nomad attacks in the area. Task Force 141 was extremely useful at keeping the nomads at bay. An agreement has been made between OZ and Task force 141, OZ should supply 141 with goods and any useful technology that could help against the nomads and 141 will provide OZ with nomad samples and keep the nomads away from the research facility.
The upcoming months OZ worked hard to get any advantage against the nomads while considering a possible colonization of Omicron Zeta.
Month V - OZ attempted to establish diplomatic relationships with The Council. Overseer Ancestor managed to get free passage to Roussillon. However they almost lost the passage right after a small incident caused by a misunderstanding. OZ hired a surveyor to get coordinates from Roussillon, thing that angered The Council. Fortunately after some debates, the waters turned calm again between the two faction.
Star Fortress was not being able to sustain all the new research personnel and it needed space for new equipment. So the station needed to get some upgrades.
With hard working and devotion OZ managed to get Project Stella Fortis to phase 3.
The scientists on Star Fortress also considered placing some defense modules in the area but that failed since the radiation field that acts as a natural defense field was harming the platforms as well.
OZ Managed to acquire one of the new discovered Jump Drives. Thing that led to a lot of improvements for the merchant fleet.

2.3 Ranks and Roster [font=Arial Black]Political Ranks:
-High Council [a group of rich zoners that prefers to stay unknown]
-Overseer: The overseer is the high council's spokesman. An overseer acts as an official leader of OZ getting orders only from the High Council trough unknown methods. Seer Seers act as a small Inner Council for OZ, taking care of economical problems and strategies. Reporters Reporters are simply civilians that scout the systems for notable events in order to keep both OZ and mankind up to date with news. They also act as historians.
-Merchant Merchants are simple civiliants among OZ's ranks. They deal with supplies for OZ or establish trade routes between houses.
Military Ranks OZ is not a military faction, but even so, their vessels can't be left unescorted. And since 141 needs to keep an eye on the nomads, OZ had to hire someone to watch over their supply ships. However their military force is very thin due to the lack of pilots that correspond to OZ standards.
-Chief of Security They are trained able to command and provide combat tactics in any situation. A chief's first task is to coordinate the security force. -Marshal Marshals have a small wing of fighters or bombers under their command, acting as the intermediary between the sentinels and the chief of security. -Sentinel Sentinels are the main security force of OZ. They have to protect OZ supply ships and to counter any attempt to siege or damage one of OZ properties.
