Oh man I am so old. So so old. And I dread the day I'm gona turn 21. Outch that is going to be arthritis old. Oh man my eyes are blurry must be glaucoma. And get checked out for prostate cancer just in case. Oh my back hurts. A ruptured vertebrae maybe? Or just plain osteoporosis?
Or maybe it's due to my sedentary lifestyle and glare from the windows beside my computer and my bad posture may explain the back pain...
' Wrote:Someone once told me that old is 10 years older than your current age, and young is 10 years younger than your current age. Seems to hold true. At 20, 30 seemed like it was pretty old to me, but having just turned 43 this week I can honestly say I feel young and full of life. I have older friends that refer to me as still a "young man" and they assure me that I'll see life differently when I get a bit older.
Like most things, "old" seems to be a matter of perspective.
Well as I continue to get older I still consider 18 to be "old enough" :P
' Wrote:Agmen you sound older then your years. I bet its the kids aging you faster right?
I suspect that part of the sounding older comes from both my military time, what there was of it, followed immediately by spending more than a year dealing with cancer. (Thus, the end of my military career.) That, and with my actual major and degree in college being Criminology with a specialization in Security means that I've spent quite a bit more of my life dealing with ... putting it politely, the refuse and dregs of society ... than most people. It's quite an eye opener to realize that you're the only one in a room full of people who have been convicted of murdering other people - and you're locked in with them, and couldn't get out on your own if you wanted to do so.
