Coercive laws

Greetings from the deads,

As some of you might know, my province is currently in one of the deepest social crisis it has seen since the beginning of Canada. The crisis is revolving around a tuition hike for universities of initially 75%, now 82%) Last Friday, our provincial government passed the following law, which was supported by all Neo-Liberal political parties.

I'd like you to take a deep look at it, turn on your "conspiracy theories maker', connects the various articles within this law to one another.

My question is, are there any kind of similar laws, or more precisely, bundle of interconnected laws, where you respectively live? What are the differences with the law that is being applied in my province? What have been their real consequences?

So far, people have received big fines for simply wearing protesting in the streets (a legal right), many have been arrested. Many were, and are still, my friends more than ever.

I am extremely troubled by the situation... I'd need answers, anything, to understand the madness that is happening in my society, in my life and to my friends.

If a debate happens, I'd like it to stay civil please. Enough people I love have been cursed at, intimidated, demonized, beaten. Far too many for me.

EDIT: removed the part about the red square, lot of confusion about whether it is a rumor or not, the minister herself said that fines could be distributed for wearing one.

That law is total and absolute garbage.

And it totally does not work, all it did was give both sides a reason to join up and fight together against one big cause.

It just made the whole thing even bigger.
