While investigating a strange signal ship came into contact with heavy minefield not on the charts. Lost 5 Turrets, 1 Purple Goddess Turret, 6 Cargo Pods, 1 CD and Cargo. Crew suffered minor injuries. Requesting investigation of anomaly. Requesting a few days leave for crew. See attached log.

Exiting Kurile today we were chased around by a Junker Pilot today. He skirted around the corona of the sun to cut us off. I changed course to avoid him and moved through the Sigma 19 System. Came close in Honshu to meeting again but barely avoided him.
On route through Newcastle I discovered a strange reading coming from the scope. I changed course to investigate the reading. It came from inside a large nebula. Upon entering we soon discovered a large minefield that my warnings sensors did not alert me to. I did my best to reverse course and turn but it was too late we skimmed the edge of the field and took heavy damage. Lost All turrets, cargo and Pods, plus the CD. Crew OK. Amina treated several members of the crew for minor injuries. Conan was not pleased. He lost his favorite Turret and was stuck in the back of the ship till we could dock at New London to replace the Pods. I promised to buy him a Vengeance MKIV to compensate.
Hell of a day.
