(( This story is basically about a LSF agent, who is assigned to go undercover as an outcast where he will have to endure the outcast ways, in order to fulfill his mission, please PM me comments, and feedback))

It all began, that one day.. March 1st 812, I was a navy pilot back then, and was for about 4 years. We received a distress call from an ageria transport in the California system, it was under attack by lane hackers.

It wasn't long before i was in my ship, along with my wingmen. We took off from Newark, setting a course to the distress call signal. We arrived about 20 minutes later, the back of the transport was gone, along with 2 of the 3 cargo pods. The escort fighters trying to make a stand, fighting bravely, but dropping like flies. Stanley Jackson, the wing leader, ordered us to engage. I had known Stanley since we attended west point. We never really got to know each other until we graduated. And here we were, about to risk our lives for liberty.

We saw 11 hostile contacts, all in stilettos. The escorts were unable to deal hardly any damage, so we told them to get the transport out of there. Cruise disruptors and missiles fired from the ships, destroying what was left of the engine. The fight was tense, the lane hackers we still attacking the escort ships, ignoring us. Activating my weapons i engaged the nearest one, he broke off and fought back.

Our weapons engaged on each others ships, my shield was the first to fail, and his weapons were ripping apart my hull. I had one choice, which was to use one of my two missiles. I looked at the pilot in the stiletto as i fired the missile. It was like slow motion, for a quick second we just stared into each others eyes, i watched the flames erupt in his ship, he didn't scream, just stared until there was nothing left to see.

I was just sitting there, thinking of what i had just saw. A yell crashed my daydream, it was Jackson, His left wing was shot off, I rushed up near the fighter attacking him, and fired my last missile, destroying his ship. "Next one is on me" Jackson said cheerfully. We engaged the rest, this time, they were the ones dropping like flies. As i held the trigger, my vengeances pummeled through the stilettos taking them down one at a time, until there was one left. Which scattered quickly. We called up repair crews to get that transport out of there, and recover what was left of the supplies in the transport. It was a good day, but i still remember that face.. That calm face, that showed no fear as he died.

// more to come..

We proceeded to New York, Jackson was wanted at newark, and he asked me to come along. We arrived, i landed my ship in docking bay 4, and headed to the equipment room. A tall man in a suit appeared, and Jackson went over to talk to him.

I went over and sat on some sort of metal crate, and thoughts went in my head. Thoughts of the man i killed, who was not afraid to die, who was he? why was he not afraid?.. I could only remember his eyes, the look he gave me, hard to explain yet i could easily picture it. I dozed off, on the crate.

Footsteps awoke me, the man in the suit approached me. "You must be William Colby" said the man in the suit, as he came closer. "Yep, thats me" I had no idea who this man was, or what he wanted. "My name is John Durham, you may or may not have heard of me, i am the director of the Liberty Security Force". The tall man gave out a smile, then put out his hand. "Pleased to meet you, Mr. Durham". I thought i heard his name on the news, at least i knew i wasn't in trouble, so i hoped.

"So, whats this all about" I asked the man. "Well, Mr. Colby, This is about you, i heard great things about you"
Great things? what could i have done that was great? i thought to myself.. " Is that so? What sort of great things", "Your friend over here told me about your piloting skills, how you are able to make quick choices, and quick reactions. He says you saved his life not too long ago, I want to get straight to the point you see"
"Im listening, go on.."

What was about to happen would change my life, forever. "We need people like you, here in the LSF". "And i am here to ask you today Mr. Colby, if you would devote your life to liberty, if you will accept my offer" "Mr. Director, if you are asking me to join you, i will need some time to think, This is a big deal and im not sure if im ready for this, yet"

The man nodded, "I understand, this is a big step above the navy, and to tell you the truth, its much harder, and you will be risking your life, 24/7, Which is why if you accept we will start you off in our training program" "With all due respect, right now i just want to go home, and think some things over, its been a real long day, i hope you understand."

"Of course, my offer will be standing for a while, give me an answer when you feel ready, we will meet again" The man shook mine and jackson's hand, then departed. That night, horrible nightmares ran through my head, about the same pilot i have been thinking about all day, those eyes, the calm face.. i just wanted it to go away, But i couldn't stop, the more i tried forgetting it the harder it was to stop thinking about it.
