I think I'm on the last level, the one where you have to take out the Coalition HQ station, the one that Gamma pitifully fails to destroy in the cut-scene... Meh. Well anyways I need some help with it. That damn Ion-Cannon keeps taking me out. I've found a way to take out the turrets, where I'll take a few out then when co-pilot yells at me the ion cannon be targeting me I'll fly upwards and sit on top of the station 'til it targets someone else.
Once I've done enough turrets a flight of Rippers jumps in to plant charges, but a wing (or is it two?) of Coalition fighters also jumps in to kill them. I now have a problem, I can leave the saftey of the top of the station and fight the Coalition which will make the Ion Cannon target me (and me being nowhere near any cover) which = game over, I continue to sit on top of the station Ion-Cannon proof and all the Rippers get Massacared which also = game over
What am I suppose to be doing? What did you guys do? Halp!
Take the Shroud and cloak. That was the advise given to me.
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
I used the Shroud exclusively after I got it, best. ship. ever. I kept loosing though, because when I went to save the Rippers, too many of the idiots died. The bombs I detonated weren't powerful enough.

Shrouds are the most logical choice for every mission after you get it. Blindfire+cloak
Anyway, spoilah follwos
As soon as you manage the barely possible and save enough rippers, that coalition biatch-general will try making a run-for-it. Naturally, the heroic Steiner will try opening a lil' crack in base's last part's armor in order to deconceal its reactor or summuth.
Now - not only must you make it before the wreck jumps away, destroy it by placing a sniper-like shot on the reactor, keep your distance not to get blown up, but also watch out for black guards, who will try to nail Steiner's escape pod. Well, that last is optional. Only the outro will look different should you save him or not.
As many people here say, Shroud = possible victory
I quit trying with that American fighter after the 3rd phail.

What you mean the Phoenix? Bah, I hated that ship, I cose to stick with the Predator (or was it the Patriot? Hrrm, need to start playing again). Anyway, thanks for the help, and I'm gonna let Steiner die. I never did like him:P
