He acknowledges Bane's handshake. He looks around.
"Nice ship. The Occam Razor just dropped the additional CPU for the mission, could you tractor it in? If you've nothing planned, I'd like see more of this ship. After that I will help your chief engineer installing the CPU, ok?"

,,Do not worry, my friend..." he said making a hand gesture to his subordinates, pointing them to Cormac's requests as a sign that they are ordered to accomplish them

“... My subordinates are taking care of that. Come, allow me to present you with a tour of my ship. "

Sir Alexander Bane guides Ian Cormac down almost every corridor of the ship showing him any facility that he could brag about to a common guest. He showed him the crew quarters, the storage room, several other rooms and facilities, the Command Bridge and finally, Bane showed him Doctor Lazarus' laboratory where Cormac would most likely operate from now on.

Reaching the laboratory’s door, Bane stepped through it first so that he could greet Cormac and present him the facility. The laboratory had numerous devices and samples unknown to Bane or any other individual onboard except Doctor Lazarus himself.

“Mister Cormac, allow me to present you Doctor's Lazarus Arlington laboratory. I assume this is where you'll work alongside him. He is a brilliant man and I'm sure you two will get along like two lads" he said exchanging a deep smile.

The only problem is, that Doctor Lazarus wasn't here. “Where could he be?" was Bane's main thought. A thought which was quickly answered by his memories. Bane then assumed that Doctor Lazarus should be coming back from his office because he wasn't there to talk with him since he was pressed with Cormac's surprising arrival.

“Please excuse the fact that he's not here.I must admit that I wasn't prepared with your arrival at this time and thus, I called him to settle some other... Decisions. He should arrive shortly. If you want, we can wait for him here."

In the laboratory its always calm, without disrupting sounds or annoying people who would disrupt Doctor Lazarus in his work. After countless hours of work takes off his goggles put them on the titanium desk and places both palms on the face. After a brief moment he opens his eyes and puts back his goggles

Damn, i lost too much time...i must get back to work.

At the holographic table lots of schematics were in the air and under close watch of the Doctors Lazarus's eyes. Even with that 100% concentration he fails to see the error.

Why these darn things wont speed up, i changed everything ...probably the quantum isolator is fried....must check that must check that...

Suddenly ship communicator replied to Dr.Lazarus

Doctor Lazarus please report to the captain's office, Doctor Lazarus please report to the captain's office.

Doctor Lazarus removed his goggles sighs and placed hand on his forehead, and after several moments he turned off his holographic table and went out of the laboratory followed with his own muttering

How they expect me to discover advanced tech or new things when i am constantly disrupted.

It didn't passed long time and Doctor Lazarus reached the captain's office. He knocked and opened the doors but nobody was there. He started to talk again to himself

Great, play hide and seek...make me loose my time, and then he will say i am not doing a thing

Doctor Lazarus steps back into the ship corridors, throws a fast glance on the watch and started walking fast back to the laboratory. As he exited the elevator and turned right back into his laboratory he saw 2 persons near the table. It was Sir Alexander Bane and unknown person. Doctor Lazarus entered into the laboratory with a small smile on his face replying to the gentlemen in laboratory

I was just taking a break, took something to refill my energy so i can get back to the work... Sir Bane please don't touch anything it's all fragile.

Bane was surprised and very happy to see Lazarus returning so quickly. He wasn't at all surprised of his over-obsessiveness in taking care of his equipment. He gave a short look into his eyes like if he wanted him to know that he arrived just in time and then he spoke:

“Mister Cormac, allow me to present you Doctor Lazarus Arlington, the person I spoke to you about earlier. He's my trusted scientist. A brilliant one I may add, yet he tends to have a big care for his equipment.

Doctor Lazarus, this is Mister Ian Cormac. A researcher from the Haimen Alliance. He has arrived onboard my ship so that he can work alongside you regarding nomad research and the Probe I've accepted to help him find. Now, I am sorry, but I guess I will leave you two so that you may get to know each other better. I must care for other matters at this moment. Please excuse me. Mister Cormac, I would appreciate it if you could let Doctor Lazarus know of any other details or information regarding these matters. " He said looking at both of them.

Soon after he left trough the door he and Cormac came trough heading back to his office. On his way there, he noticed his three crew members taking care of Cormac's equipment.He told them to take them to the laboratory where their owner is. Not wasting any moment he went back to his office where he decided to relax for a little while knowing that he has no other business that require his attention.

After all, it was a tedious yet surprising day. He was surprised to see the Haimen react in so quickly to his calls. But after all, they are AIs...Lazyness might not be in their programming.

In a corner of his office, there was a small bar, an improvised table actually, from where he could drink a small variety of his adored drinks whenever he had the occasion to do so. Bane wasn't an “alcohol lover" as he never fell into a state of drunkness, but he always had a refined taste in drinks. He took a bottle of Red Wine from it and poured it in a glass. He then began to sip it, relaxing after the day he had and thinking about the expedition which will start tomorow.

"Hello, Doctor. Nice Laboratory you have here, tho its organization is rather ... inefficient.
It is yours however. Ah, look there the CPU comes."
Three crewmembers are carrying a large, dark cube.
"That will boost my research. Place it there, thank you."
The Crewmembers leave the room.
"So, now again, Hello, Doctor, I am Ian Cormac. I am representing the Haimen Alliance on this mission."

Doctor Lazarus throw a despising look to the "alien" in his laboratory and replies

I love how my equipment is arranged, it serves its purposes Ian Cormac Representative of the Haimen Alliance...and the glorious Bane left faster than the speed of the light, and probably he will again crash into his chair and enjoy silence...while me...nevermind. I am Doctor Lazarus Arlington and please try not to break anything

As Doctor Lazarus was in his thoughts and ideas he forgot that the Ian was an Cyborg and quickly altered his mood and gets himself close to Ian as much he could with his PDA

Oh...Ian.. remarkable machinery, Advanced nanobots and circuits..impressive. Where did you get it? Will you help me develop something similar to it?

"I am sorry, but my mission here is not helping you to copy Haimen technology. The CPU is running now, so no problem with that. Ah, damn, the captain forgot to tell me where my quarters are..."
Cormac transmits a command to the computer to ask Captain Bane for his quarters locaton. Then he looks around.
"Anyways, what about you tell me what you are working on?"

Doctor Lazarus puts his hands behind the back and with the sarcasm he replied

You see, i am not here to share my works, its not my mission... *grins* but later we could work something out...for now what you see is all what you can get. Now, lets commence what we must do...and don't bother calling captain he is probably resting his lazy butt somewhere on the ship

Doctor Lazarus crouched and started observing the CPU unit and quickly returned to his holographic table and mutters a bit about Haimen Representative

Around an hour has passed since Bane returned to his room. He spent this time relaxing and thinking about tomorrow's expedition. He also wanted to leave some time for the two scientists to get to know each other, after all, it was desired that the two should cooperate if Bane wants to achieve something.

Sipping the last drops from the glass where he poured red wine, Bane was looking again at the picture of him and his brother.He then turned the tablet off, making the picture vanish and replaced by the void, black screen.He put the tablet back from the same drawer where he took it from afterwards.

Right the next moment, Bane noticed that he received a message on his computer. It was Cormac. Bane then remembered that he forgot to show Cormac his room where he'll stay.He also had to announce everyone that the expedition will start tomorrow so they can prepare, thus, he calmly lifted up from his chair and exited trough the office's door.

First, he had to head to the command bridge, and tell his deck officer there, to inform everyone about the start of the expedition and thus, he went that way, a short, 5 or 10 minutes walk from his office.

Arrived at the command bridge, he approached the deck officer and ordered him to notify everyone about the start of the expedition. The officer complied and it wasn't long before any of Bane's subordinates knew about this and made their preparations.

It was not long before he arrived at Doctor Lazarus' laboratory. Stepping trough the door, he noticed both Lazarus and Cormac engaged in a conversation. He approached them and with a calm tone he said:

,,Excuse me, gentlemen, but I have decided to announce you personally that the expedition will start tomorrow. Take all the time needed to prepare for it. "

Right afterwards, he looked at Cormac, the sight of so many cybernetical implants can't escape his eyesight. He wanted to show him his quarters and he didn't want to forget about it again.

,, Mister Cormac, allow me to guide you personally to your quarters if that would suit you. "

"Thank you, Captain. We will continue this later, Doctor Lazarus."
He quickly generates a 3D-Model of Lazarus' Laboratory before moving on to follow Captain Bane.
While moving he quickly sends the Model to the Haimen Alliance main processing unit.
"Let's go"
He follows Bane out of the room.
"I dislike this mission, these humans are so ... illogical and weird", he thinks.
After arriving in his room he sits down and waits for the mission to start.
